Scarlet Ibis
Eudocimus ruber
Scarlet Ibises are bright scarlet red (sometimes orange-red or deep pink) with black wing tips. Their heads, necks and under-parts are often paler. The beaks - longer and more curved in males - sometimes become blackish to a variable extent, especially during the breeding season. Their legs are also pinkish to reddish, with blackish-brown nails.
Fun Facts: Young Scarlet Ibises are able to swim before they can fly.
